Nuisance – a bothersome annoying person
Plucky – marked by determination in the face of difficulties
Incredulous – not disposed or willing to believe; unbelieving
Barrister – a British lawyer who speaks in the higher courts of law
Unsavory – morally offensive
Precarious – not secure; beset with difficulties
Broach – bring up a topic for discussion
Procure – get by special effort
Rubbish – nonsensical talk or writing
Accustom – familiarize psychologically or physically
Oblige – dunder a moral obligation to do something
Irresolute – uncertain how to act or proceed
Tarantella – a lively whirling Italian dance for two persons
Consumption – a lung disease involving progressive wasting of the body
Tactless – lacking what is considerate in dealing with others
Prevaricate – be deliberately ambiguous or unclear
Scurrilous – expressing offensive reproach
Malicious – having the nature of threatening evil
Intently – with strained or eager attention
Obvious – easily perceived by the senses or grasped by the mind
Prospect – the possibility of future success
Imply – express or state indirectly

Disclose – make known to the public information previously kept secret
Domino – a loose hooded cloak worn with a half mask
Compatible – able to exist and perform in harmonious combination
Apparition – a ghostly appearing figure
Embroider – decorate with needlework
Contrary – exact opposition
Captivating – capturing interest as if by a spell
Fretful – nervous and unable to relax
Disengage – release from something that holds fast or entangles
Unfathomable – resembling an abyss in depth; so deep as to be immeasurable
