Conveyance – something that serves as a means of transportation
Cupidity – extreme greed for material wealth
Miena – person’s appearance, manner, or demeanor
Alacrity – liveliness and eagerness
Escutcheon – a shield; especially one displaying a coat of arms
Inveterate – habitual
Pecuniary – relating to or involving money
Apathy – an absence of emotion or enthusiasm
Expedient – appropriate to a purpose
Gambol – play boisterously
Insinuate – suggest in an indirect or covert way; give to understand
Vociferous – conspicuously and offensively loud
Remonstrance – the act of expressing earnest opposition or protest
Precipitous – extremely steep
Condolence – an expression of sympathy with another’s grief
Prodigal – recklessly wasteful
Avarice – reprehensible acquisitiveness; insatiable desire for wealth
Palliate – lessen or to try to lessen the seriousness or extent of
Immolate – offer as a sacrifice by giving up to destruction
Varlet – in medieval times a youth acting as a knight’s attendant as the first stage in training for knighthood
Assiduity – great and constant diligence and attention
Sequester – keep away from others
Vagabond – a wanderer with no established residence or means of support
Exuberant – joyously unrestrained
Recumbent – lying down; in a position of comfort or rest
Bivouac – temporary living quarters built by the army for soldiers
Ingenuous – lacking in sophistication or worldliness
Solicitude – a feeling of excessive concern
